durable banners

has anyone made a banner for a flagpole? {like winnie pooh, etc} i was wondering if there is more than one type of fabric you can use that is durable to stand up to weather? or is nylon my best bet?

If you are going to fly it like a regular flag too much fabric or seams will make it too heavy to fly. A safer bet is to get the flag/banner pole that allows you to hand it vertically and then you can see it all. The rip-stop nylon is good but can be expensive.

actually, wouldn't it be better if it didn't fly? that way it would be "seen" better/more often than if it was waving in the breeze...
