Our little miniature long haired female dachshund is the same way if my husband leaves her at home if he goes somewhere in the car.

Poor baby! I love how you little fur people make us feel soooo guilty for leaving you alone. I can hear my babies crying when I leave them. Just wanted to let you know that we really do hate to leave you by yourselves.

How did you get a picture of my dog? When we leave she just chases birds or digs up my garden

Poor baby. I have never left my dog in the house by herself. She goes outside when we leave. She doesn't fuss anymore she had 40 acres to roam around. Doesn't ever go to the end of the driveway so we don't have to worry about her getting in the road. She likes to mess with the cows. I have left her inside when one of the boys was still in bed. I've been asked not to do that anymore. She goes to their bedroom door and starts crying or pouncing on it until they get up.

I solved the problem of Socrates being left home alone when I go to the quilt stores or Joann's.. I take him with me.. He has been coming with me since he was eight weeks old. He is now eight. He is such a wonderful companion, and extremely well mannered..

Unfortunately in Australia in the summer it is far too hot to take your dogs in the car, as in a lot of shopping malls dogs are not allowed, and a lot of pure bred dogs are stolen from peoples cars, people claim to have found them and then they ask for a reward or worst still are sold interstate. Martha has everything her little heart desires, its just that she is so spoilt.

what's the point of having a dog if you can't spoil them? mine are terribly spoiled, too, but they have earned it. my dh says they stay at the front door as soon as i leave and wait for me to come back. they are such lovebugs i hate to do anything to distress them! they watch tv, fave is qvc, and they listen to music if there's nothing good on. they sleep anywhere and everywhere they can. wouldn't be surprised to find them snoozing on the kitchen counter someday, full of doggie cookies!
