Just came back from a "healing circle" - meditation class. It was interesting, I met a really nice group of women, and I did feel relaxed afterward. I may add this as my second favorite mode of therapy, after quilting, of course.

Really hard to explain, but we closed our eyes while the leader went through a kind of spoken guide of relaxed breathing, visual imagery. Then we all chatted afterward. This is a new experience for me, but interesting enough that I'll try the next session. There were only five of us, so that made it nice, too.

If you can, make time each day for a spell of Meditation. It is very good for you and is a very healthy thing to incorporate into your daily routine.

I took a meditation class and LOVED it. I had never imagined me being a "meditation type" person but I was oh so wrong! I learned to conrol my thoughts, breathing, etc.
It was during the class that I stopped smoking :D
Been a non-smoker for over a year now so meditation can't be all bad :D

So glad you enjoyed your meditation class. There are so many benefits to meditation. I was just telling DH tonight that I want to get back to meditating. For me among other things it brings balance & peace. It’s hard to explain.

I read something one time that I really liked....it said:

"When I pray I talk to God"
"When I meditate I listen to God"

I like that :D
