I have been reading the board for a while and have become totally addicted to it, but never posted a topic. Well, I became a grandparent for the first time on June 25, 2011 at 4:57pm. Please welcome Jacob Ryan to our quilting board. He weighed 6lb 15 oz and was 20 inches long.

How precious little Jake Ryan is. We have a Jacob Joseph Ryan but he is 23 yrs old now. There is no feeling in the world like the first grandchild. All are special, but that first little part of you is just awesome.....many happy,happy years of loving him. As you know, it goes by like a breeze. we got to raise our Jacob but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I stood by while he was born and he almost didn't make it. no breathe sounds for awhile. At that point I gave him to God and said, his life is totally in Your hands God. Your Jacob is so beautiful. Our Jacob's best friend is a Jacob also. Joy!

Well CONGRATULATIONS!!! He is so adorable. I can only dream how this must feel to be a grandma. I want to be a grandma so bad. My son will be getting married next year, so I hope its soon after, heehee. ENJOY YOUR NEW BUNDLE!!
