Mental Health?
#11
I'm not too happy with a joke about folks with mental illness. Please don't take this the wrong way, but having been an inpatient on the Psychiatric Ward of several hospitals before they got the right medications to treat my rapid cycling bipolar episodes under control, I think this story was humorous to the point where Ralph "hung himself." Anyone who has been an inpatient or visited anyone on a Psych Ward knows that they take away any objects, belts included that a person could use to do harm to themselves. Thus, Ralph's hanging would have been impossible via that method. I enjoy good humor, but feel this was a little over the limits. This is a touchy subject with patients and family members who have dealt with mental illness in their family.
What most people don't understand is that the person with the mental illness is not always incurable, or beyond hope of recuperating. Just please be more sensitive before you post similar "jokes".
