Default Mice! Yuk!

Last night I decided to pull out all of my Christmas craft stuff and in the box containing just the fabric I found where mice had been! Should I throw out everything or how do I clean the fabrics, most the size of 1/4 yards or less? My weekend is going to be spent cleaning out that closet top to bottom and checking everything! Then making sure I have nothing but plastic bins. And I have a cat!!!!!!

Even when I use plastic bins I throw in a bar of Irish Spring in the bin. We have field mice and I use peppermint oil on a cotton ball in the cupboards.

I would toss it. Our mice love Irish Spring, they even chew on it.

Not to mention, they pee on everything. They chewed up my auto manual and peed over all the carpets in the car and they loved the peppermint oil, they even got used to moth balls in the car, I did too. Everyone knew I was coming, they could tell by the smell. They were trap wary until the new ones came out with the red bar that slams down after they put their nasty little noses into the compartment that holds the peanut butter. My cat has no interest in mice at all. He does, however kill chipmunks of various sizes. Go figure!?

We just spent almost $350 to put stainless steel enforced garage door seals in. They chewed through the old ones made of rubber. They got into the engine compartment and chewed wires in our car. This winter we will see if they can get in, ( hoping not)
