This thing is so tiny I forgot all about it, til I accidentally spotted it while checking out the blooms in my flower beds today. Just bought it last year while on vacation...the tag said mini...didn't say it was only as tall as the tag itself lol.

Beautiful, I love flowers I have very few beds left. It was take all of my energy and my husband did way with most of them. He thought I was getting to old to work that hard in the yard. Later we found out it is cancer that was stealing all of my energy. All better now.

What a little beauty. Will it multiply for the coming years so you can divide it?

I'm not sure what the future years will do for it; but am looking forward to finding out.

It looks like the little purple ones that grew around my Mom's house when I was a kid. That was one of the signs of spring. Kittens were usually born in the barn at around the same time.

It's a dwarf Iris! My dad said his are in bloom and he's going to have to put signs up that his Iris Farm is open for business. The mother rhizome will have babies. Every fan of leaves that comes up without a bloom this year are the ones that will bloom next year.
