I feel like a big monster is coming for us. I keep watching TV for updates and I am scared. Went to the grocery store and they were already out of water so I went to another and their supply is getting very low. Have batteries, candles, battery operated lanterns, water and enough food for us and dogs. Gas in cars and tomorrow I will put the patio furniture away. I am afraid of the flooding and falling trees.

Fill up whatever containers you can from your tap, fill bathtub to use for flushing toilets if needed.
You are right in the path of it on LI, keeping you in our prayers.

I'm ready with plenty of fabric! I'm hoping the electric stays on.

Be safe,

you can also fill up gallon jugs from your tap water,

you can also fill up the bathtub with water, so you can still flush toilets

fill up washer machine (to have extra water to flush toilets)

I just finished my Irene prep. Gas in three cars, all electronics charged, fridge and freezer full of containers of water, and the shed is full of lawn furniture.
Tomorrow is a hospital day for MIL's back surgery so I had to get it all together today...

Hoping everyone stays safe!
