It's very windy and gusty today - temp is in the 50's - occasional rain - very cloudy

Hubby calls out from the bathroom - Hey, look - the water is moving in the toilet bowl.

So - had to go look in the other toilet also - and it sure looks like the water is rocking back and forth.

But maybe it's the water that is the "constant" and it's the house is rocking back and forth?

Never, ever noticed that before. Kind of fascinating.

Are you in earth quake country??? It's the wind, it blows across the stand pipe on the roof and causes the water in tb to move. Ask me how I know

How do you know?

Minnesota isn't generally thought of as earthquake country.

We also lived where there aren't earthquakes. Sitting at the dining room table one morning the light above me started to sway.....looked out back and the water in the pool was sloshing out the shallow end. There had been an earth quake probably 600 miles from us and tremors were felt in some areas all around the state. Also, the water moving in a toilet bowl is real common when there are high winds, sometimes it is only when blowing in a certain direction. Can be fun to show grandkids  esp at halloween
