Default mozilla firefox pdf.js viewer

I guess the latest update changed my mozilla firefox so now instead of my nice OLD pdf viewer I'm getting this pop up & it says may not read correctly and that's right, some of them won't even open. If I close out of mozilla & into IE I can read them in the old pdf viewer. I searched on mozilla & I can't really figure out what they're saying. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it? Thanks.

I "think" I'm having the same problem. Mine is saying to update Adobe Reader but then I get an error when I tried to update. I, too, get "lost" when I get into this area!!

Well, I went through the update procedure and got that message that it was successful, but I am still getting the message that it needs updating. Go figure.

I gotta say...I switched to mozilla based on recommendations here and elsewhere due to the pop up problem I was having in IE. NOW, I think I'm getting even more pop ups with mozilla than I ever did with IE. In fact, during an update process on one of our computers, I can't even get the stupid mozilla to work at all....back to IE on that computer. Still using mozilla on the laptop but ready to go back. And I can't figure out how to update the ad blocker either. Currently not a fan.

Yes, I've had the same problem, and what I did was click below that box, then the pdf would download, except that sometimes if you want to save it, the little menu thing or whatever you call it, wouldn't come up, but if you closed it and downloaded it again, then the menu thingy would show up, so try that, but now with our "latest" update, it's totally changed AGAIN, so now it's different and a little more time consuming, but I do no longer have to close and download it again. Hope this helps.

Same thing of course happened to me. I set it up right away to use the Adobe Reader. The pdf viewer is built-in to the Mozilla Firefox 19 update.
Here is a link to change it to the Adobe Reader on your computer: (Go about halfway down go to the section 'Using a PDF Reader Plug In')

I have used only Firefox for years as Internet Explorer I found to be to invasive to suit my taste. Also I use a program called Foxit Reader which is faster than Adobe with a smaller foot print. Both run flawlessly together. Oh did I mention free! You might want to try them together..

I've been getting the Adobe update pop-up the last couple of days and I ignored it -it finally came up as a 3x3 window in the middle of my screen I just clicked the ''remind me later''option and I haven't seen it again. My son and DIL are both paid computer geeks and after they replaced my old virus ridden computer they said ''''Just because it pops up saying to update does not make it safe '''' He installed Mozilla on the new set up and it has everything I need.I have not had any problems with this computer in 6 months I've had it. And this Abobe thing is the only pop-up I've gotten.
