Default Music ?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a combination CD player, radio, MP3 player with a good sound system? I would like to have music for my sewing room, but I'm so far behind this technology that I don't even what to look for online. I get so many good ideas here, thought I would ask.

I would suggest making the trek to one of the big box stores - Best Buy; PC Richard - to get a clue what's really on the market. We're behind on this technology as well. In fact, we just purchased our first digital, smart TV! After you've done some fact-finding as to makes/models you could then let Mr. Google help you narrow down pricing.

I am very partial to the Bose system. Although quite pricey for such a small system. The sound more than makes up for it.

Also you can order the dock for an iPod touch or iPhone

or this:
just speakers that an iPod docks to. You might have to search eBay or Amazon for it now.

on Amazon:

I have had a Bose radio in my sewing room and have had it for about 10 years now. I love the sound that comes from it. I play my CDs and hook my iPad to it and play my Pandora radio stations. I have tried different speakers and such, and none compare to the Boise sound. If this one dies someday, I will immediately buy another one to replace it. I don't think you can beat the sound quality.

If you have a disc drive in your computer, you can use that for CDs or pandora. You can also hook up an external cd drive to your computer.

I will have to try a CD in my laptop. Just didn't think the sound would be that good but I should try it. Thanks for the idea.

ChasingHawk and Julie, when I was looking on the internet yesterday I came upon the Bose system and it sounds like exactly what I was looking for. The price, not so much! I was hoping for some magical product that sounds that good and didn't cost so much! HaHa! I may just have to go for it. As it is now, I only listen to music in my car which has a good sound system. Just not in my car that much anymore since I retired. Decisions, decisions. Thanks all of you for your input.

I love listening to music also. And for around the house the Bose system I have is worth every penny. I originally got the Bose wave system as a Christmas gift from my husband about 12 years ago. And it sounds as good now as it did out of the box 12 yrs. ago. The other two Bose products I have the speaker dock and the ipod kit as gifts from hubby. He understands my love of music.

Btw, Waylon, Willie and the boys sound amazing coming from those speakers.

I don't think the Bose system can be beat and I wish I had one.

I have a mini Bose speaker which is only Bluetooth but I can listen to radio stations and music which have been downloaded through my Ipad and IPhone or the ones I have purchased through ITunes. The speaker is rechargeable and in the summer I can take it outdoors when I'm gardening.
