Musical instrument - Do you play?
#32
I had about 6 years of piano lessons when I was little and still really enjoy playing when I can, but I gave my piano to my step-granddaughters.
I do play handbells in church and just love playing!
There is just something good going on in your brain when you make music!! I believe it enhances your creativity altogether!

Started a four years of age, played until freshman in college. Married, kids, retired and my mother bought me a piano and I found a good teacher and started all over again. Got carpal tunnel in my wrist and so the story goes.

don't have much time for it any more, but was raised in a household that believed that music was second only to breathing. dad started me on harmonica when i was under a year old, and i "got" a small accordion for a baby shower gift. started piano when i turned 5, accordion when i turned 7, clarinet when i was 10, voice when i turned 5, organ when i was 11, guitar when i was 18, banjo when i was 45, keyboard when i was 40. finally took a course in piano tuning, restoration, and repair when i was 31, so i could tune all the darned things sitting in the house. sure wish i had time to really master them all, but, hey--scripture says "make a joyful noise", not "be perfect in everything you try!" we all make musical noise now, of one kind or another. hubby plays guitar, mandolin, banjo. eldest, piano/voice. middle, piano, accordion, violin, voice. youngest, voice, guitar, accordion. we are just a bunch of music geeks. and my folks were right. music is second only to breathing.

I play the piano, used to play the clarinet but doubt that I have the wind power for that anymore. I used to play the violin and started taking lessons again last year but my family couldn't take the noise so I quit the lessons. My DGD is a natural. She plays the piano beautifully (self taught) and plays the trumpet in her high school band.
