Friday my 1966 bathroom sink and P trap rusted out, water and yuck everywhere! I spent the weekend replacing the vanity/countertop, sink, faucet, P trap and put a cupboard over the toilet. I bought most of the stuff at Lowes (very helpful people) and the pipes at Ace Hardware (they know the secrets that aren't in the instructions). I did it all myself (63 year old gal) and I'm sore but happy! We can do whatever we need to.

Finished- just need to paint

Great job!! This is my secret. If I need soething done around the house like this I will ask DH twice. Then I will begin the job myself when he is due home soon. When he walks in and sees me with whatever it is in peices I get moved out fast and before you know it, it is done. I love that you are handy enough to do it all by yourself. Bravo!!!

I know what you mean. My wonderful husband died last year. He just didn't like to do home improvements, it stressed him. I'm so glad to have all the tools I needed, I may not know the right name for the tool but I know how to use them. I've watched TV enough to know how. The internet has lots of information too. We are lucky to live in this day and age.
