The other night we had an incident locally. Someone made 13 soda bottle bombs and left them on people's doorsteps, rang the bell and ran away. One man was injured when he picked up the soda bottle to take into his home to dispose of it. Whatever was in the bottle (household cleaning products and tin foil explodes when moved).

Well come to find out - 4 teenagers have turned themselves in for this "prank" they learned about online. My concern is this will spread and some small child will get injured because of these "pranks".

Needless to say if you have a soda bottle or some other package left on your doorstep don't touch it. Call the police.

4 of these bottles exploded and the rest the police were able to safetly dispose of.

I swear we are not even safe in our homes any more. What were those boys thinking. I hope you local police dept. punishes these young me strongly. Not to ruin their futures but lets them know that this was a horrible thing that they did.

Sad part of the internet is, it can be a great help and it can also cause great harm.

We had that in our neighborhood last summer. Only 3 houses hit and and no one hurt, thankfully. We are a gated community, so I am sure it was teenagers. They were never caught.

My brother has a security firm, and is strong on the idea of lights and cameras, which are now very cheap, even good ones. Being identified is not on the hoodlums' future plans. might surprise you what "nice" kid is doing all that.

Since I live in such an isolated area all of the outside and parts of the inside of my home are under camera surveillance. Outside is on from dark to dawn, all the time if we are not home, and inside only at my discretion. I did this after we were robbed, and did the inside after we had some company and some expensive items disappeared.
