I'll just stick with my furbaby Brutus. I only have to look out my windows anywhere in my house and see many species of birds from tiny hummers to large turkey vultures and only actually refill a hummer feeder. I like the fact I don't have to clean up much after Brutus. I would absolutely die if I saw avian feces on one of my fabrics. My aunt had a green parrot for 25 years she got to where it was hard for her to clean up after him. She sold him to a friend who had several. As far as I know he's still living. His vocabulary was also quite proficient. He picked up some very colorful words when the grandkids became teenagers.
