Since I am unemployed right now I do not get up
before the sun anymore.

Most mornings I wake up to find 1-3 cats on the bed
with me no big deal they are sleeping on my hubs side.
However yesterday morning I woke up at 6:40am and
saw that Miss Nim was sleeping next to me on my hubs
side (nothing unusual about that), but than I got to feeling
that I was "trapped" and I felt the unmoving pressure in
my back, I KNEW it was a cat but I didn't know if it was
Gizmo or Kiko normally neither of them would do that to
me and Bandie never comes to the bed unless hubs is in
it.
Well my back "growth" I soon found out was Bandie and
she was not willing to get off the covers. It took some time
but I finally got her off the covers and under them, than I
got up went potty and came back to bed to "cuddle with
the Banders (that is what we call her sometimes), next
thing I knew I had Kiko walking on my body starting at my
ankles up to my chest and wanting her share of attention
after that was over she laid down close to Nimmers and
went to sleep.

I laid in bed for about 45 minutes longer decided that was
long enough. After I got up I discovered this (see picture).

All four of them have been doing and acting much different
than they use to and it is confusing the heck out of me.

cute pic :) Maybe they're just adjusting to the new schedule or something. IDK but your furkids are adorable

Maybe this isn't abnormal behavior, they just usually snuggle together when you're at work!

Is your weather changing? As it gets cooler, most all want to snuggle & cuddle more. Pretty cats!...

When I first became unemployed, my cats became more needy. They would lay in the bed with me, not wanting to get up. They became more vocal, talking to me alot. I think it was the fact that I was home more and able to give them all the attention that they wanted.

Fall is here. Even if we aren't ready for it. My cats want to sleep with me now too and mamma cat wants to lay in my arm while i watch t.v. again. she only does that in Winter time.

I have been unemployed for nearly 3 yrs so its
not a "new" happening in our lives.
However Gizmo (the "kid" curled up in the bottom
right of picture) HAS become more "social" with
hubs and I since our youngest daughter left for
college in June (he was her cat).

Its not just the four of them sleeping in the bed
with me that has changed, each one of them is
doing things much different than they did before
over the last few weeks.

As for the weather changing well it HAS cooled off
quite a bit this week compared to what it has been
for many weeks prior, but these personality or if
you prefer attitude changes started several weeks
ago.

Oh well it is no big "deal" they are still my babies.

Thanks for the compliments on my kids, they all
know that they are pretty so they almost "act"
like they are flaunting it if that can be possible.

They're changing (confusing you) because YOU changed the routine and are confusing THEM!!! Either that or it's cold in your house! :) Our cats do the same!

ha,ha. The personality of one of my kittens changes, she becomes a bit more like her Mother it seems to me. (nothing to do with weather though). just age.
watch your kitties and see what happens that is different. then see if perhaps you can see a correlation there.
