Was talking to DH tonight and was telling him that if I can get my pain under control and back to work regularly and start making some decent commission again that I want to use the money to buy a good used embroidery machine. DH said that if we get the credit cards paid of that he will buy me the best embroidery on the market. I think I hear the Bernina 830e calling my name. He also said maybe a long arm quilter instead. Is there a gammilll in my future with all the extras??? Now I'm going to be killing myself to get back to work regularly. I started a course of steroids yesterday to try and help get the pain undercontrol. Fibromyalgia sucks. I also have to see a Rheumatologist as soon as possible as my pain management Dr thinks that I have that also. I want one of those new toys so bad. Wish me luck.

With your pain issues, do you think a LA will be doable? Even with the computerized system, you'd be on your feet a LOT. (I have a Gammil) The embroidery machine might be a better option but don't think there's much $ to be made, at least in my area. It's strange, though, that LA'ers are in big demand here.

I wish you so much success with your pain management and rheumy visit. Living this way IS a b-tch, I know. When you accomplish this, do share it with us, as there are many here who also suffer.

Wishing you the best. I also have back pain and thru trial and error, I've got a handle on it. I do go to pain management too. I only take the injections when nothing else is working. I use meds and found it better to take them regular, rather than wait til the pain is so bad, they don't work very well. Bio-Freeze roll-on has been a life-saver for me, for me it works better than a muscle relaxer and it's one less drug in my system. Even when it hurts, I get up and move, it helps. Find a good pair of shoes, if I wear the wrong shoes, it really makes my back angry. Also, for me, sitting on a wood chair (like a kitchen chair) more than 20 minutes, sets it off. I know everyone is diffrent, you have to figure out what makes your back angry. I am still able to work 4 days a week. Best wishes for getting back to work and meeting your goals. Talk to your docs about 60 mg. of Toradol IM injection. It works wonders for me when my fibromyalgia flares. I work as a nurse and attend school (part-time this year) so don't have time to deal with the flares at all. I'm a 30 plus year veteran of fibro and believe in kicking it's butt and taking no prisoners. I agree with another on this board who mentioned good shoes--very good idea.
Oh, and I don't take any NARCs for mine. Ever. period. Just don't wanna go there.

Thank you everyone for you kind words and support. Yesterday was a good day for me. My pain level was way down from taking the steroids. I was amazed at how much relief I got so quickly. I actually got to leave the house and have some fun. DH and I went to the fabric shop. Where I got some fabric for a quilt that I am going to make my son. Went to the used book store and picked up some older quilting magazines. W had lunch out at our favorite Mexican restaurant. And then the hobby shop for DH. And then a quick stop at the dollar store to buy some things for when I get ready to try dying my own fabric. It was the first time in weeks that I had left the house for anything then absolute essentials. I'm going to get the laundry caught up today and clean the kitchen and then rest and do some work on my quilt today. Hopefully I will be good to go back to work. I have been very luck with the company that I work for has been so understanding with everything. I have already used up all my fmla time early in June. They are trying very hard to work with me as they value me as and employee and do not want loose me. I do know that it may still come to that though. I won't have any more fmla time until January.

I do wish you luck. I hope you find relief from your pain so that you may enjoy which ever toy you decide to get. You do have a great DH.
