I haven't seen a response to us about the "recipe" for SharonAnne's knitted hat. Can anybody tell me the basics? Type of yarn, needles, how many to cast on,etc. Once I have the basics I can probably get started, but not by any means a very good knitter. Just thought this would be a GREAT project to "keep my hands busy" while at my daughters over Christmas... Thank you...

I've been waiting too.
Here's a free pattern I found that would probably work
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/hatnmitts.html
Just use the eyelash yarn on the upper part of the hat.

You're welcome.
The pattern calls for 2 strands of worsted so I would use 2 strands of eyelash also.

I just got a PM from SharonAnne and she told me that she is not at home, but did say she used a Knifty Knitter for that hat. I've never used one, so will try with a circular needle and see how that works..... THANK YOU SHARON ANNE for your response....

I've never used one either but I'm sure it'll turn out just as nice the "old fashioned way"
There's always more than one way to skin a cat, as my grandmother used to say. :)
