While out early this morning gardening I happened upon a very cute new friend. A baby Mockingbird. How cute.

Our tree out front had a nest with three babies. All have left home. We've watched them over the past few weeks. Watched mommy in and out of the nest. What fun to watch baby birds grow from eggs to their first flight. He or she struggled a little but did make it. A few weeks ago my gardening buddy was a baby Rock Dove under the roses.

The wonders of nature.

I love watchiing birds. This little guy is so cute. The other day I spotted 2 swallow tail kites circling over the back yard. Looked them up on google. Hawks. Took my dogs in. LOL. They were pretty good sized. Had never seen them before.

That's part of the fun of living in the country for me, all the nature around us if we just take the time to look and listen.

How aweet of this little guy to join you of a morning! :)
