    Default Funny...which Generation are You???

    OK, Boys and Girls,
    - People born before 1946 were called The Silent generation.
    - People born between 1946 and 1964. are called The Baby Boomers.
    - People born between 1965 and 1979 are Generation X.
    - And people born between 1980 and 2010 are calledGeneration Y.

Why do we call the last group Generation Y? Well .. . .

    Y should I get a job?
Y should I leave home and find my own place?
Y should I get a car when I can borrow yours?
    Y should I grow up?
Y should I clean my room?
Y should I wash and iron my own clothes?
Y should I buy any food?
Y should I care what you old folks think?
But a cartoonist explains it VERY eloquently in this picture.

    AND THERE YOU GO!!

Love it!! I'm a baby boomer with a son from the x generation and one from the Y generation. Our Y generation son moved back with us for the third time but this time I let him know I have no problem kicking him out if it doesn't work.
So far he's been trying to be a descent roomate.

Silent? My generation silent??! I beg to differ!

We invented the computer, sent a man to the moon, raised families that stayed raised, started 'women's lib', ran the first woman for vice president, shortened our skirts waaaay above the knee, burned our bras, joined the military, started multi-million dollar companies, were widely recognized for our best-selling books, etc., etc. etc. And I, personally, have rarely been known to fail to voice my opinion, LOL!

    Silent? My PATOOTIE!

I agree Jan,, I was born in 1952 so am a baby boomer and considering my mom had 10 kids out of 13 survive I would say she contributed to the boom. I have to laugh at kids who think we have no idea what is going on because we are "old" I look at them and ask Ever heard of Woodstock? And yes the generation before me and my generation sure changed the world.

I'm the Silent generation; although my husband and family would violently disagree with that as I am never silent about anything. I have a Baby Boomer child, a Generation X child and a Generation Y child.

Baby Boomer with an X Generation son. Oh yea I'm the crazy lady yelling out the car window ''Pull Up Your Pants'' and I have been known to ask one or two if they wanted me to call child protection on their behalf for it must be embarrassing to have to go out in public dressed this way and a good parent would buy them decent cloths. While shopping in Cleveland Ohio one of the major store chains had a sign on entrance----IF YOUR PANTS ARE DOWN--TURN AROUND with examples one like the above pic and the other with pants pulled up..
