After seeing dreamer2009's flower pics...

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-129691-1.htm

I thought I would show you my puny efforts. It has been a cold, cool spring so my daffodils are just now fading and it is almost middle of June. I call this my flower mound and I have mostly perennials. As the summer (if we have one) progresses, I will up date you with new blooming things. Will have roses too unless the deer munch them off.

Very nice! Love the enhancements too.

Sometimes I think about buying silk flowers and sticking them in the dirt. That way they'd bloom all season and require little care. lol

You have the beginning of something beautiful - once your flowers mature and fill in some areas, it will be a "mound" of beauty.

nice flower garden, I like a little wall around things to sort of make them special and keep people from walking thru them.

I did use silk flowers on my porch on summer, lol. The front porch runs the front of the house and is in the shade so I usually just hang ferns (4) across the front, but they still need water and for some reason we came and went thru thr summer and the poor ferns were underwatered, then a bird made a nest in one pot and I didnt want to scare her so I didnt water.
I just finally went to the $ store and bought 2 clumps of silk ferns, cut them all apart, arranged the 4 pots and they looked fine. The house sits back off the street so from a car or walking you can't tell theyre not real. sharet

I think that if you have had a cool spring I should be there instead of Atlanta. I am melting.
