    This is a neat story about a young woman who decided she wanted to adopt the old tradition of having a dowry of 13 quilts before she married. A new quilter is born!

    Wow...when you think of a hope chest, I don't think 13 quilts would fit and imagine the cost when most of those old quilts are feed bags and old clothing...how did they get enough material?!?

    In today's world, I can't imagine doing all that along with planning a wedding! Whew!
