JUst found cleaning instruction wash with mild dishwashing liquid, than rinse clean. Let soak over night in clean water to let the polymer purge the impurities from it

What a wonderful idea for my Texas kids for Christmas! Several are Boy Scout campers so they would come in very handy! Thanks for the idea.

QUOTE=AZ Jane;5335350]Not sure if I can post this but here are instructions on making cool ties and it does state to use over and over. They are filled with polymer crystals. Wet the crystals and they become a gel-like substance. Dry them out and they return to the rock-like crystals. I have made hundred to send to the troops in Iraq. Be careful how much you use in the tie as if overfilled, the gel will ooze out.

Is this possible? I bought several for my husband when he was still roofing. He came home saying that although the idea was good, it gave him a sore throat!!!?????? Was he just being irritable? Wimpy? Coincidence? Anyone else using these experience a similar feeling? The fact he has tonsils the size of grapefruits might have something to do with it.

I've never heard of these, but know I can get rid of them if I get them made.

Thanks, AZ Jane, ...I made up four today for my son in Atlanta......I'm sure he will welcome them. I had some of the crystals from coolers I had made for "troops" a while ago......you are so right that a little goes a long way.
