I have chronic sinus infections, even had the sinus surgery in January. I am still getting infections.
I have been researching and apparently chronic infections are caused by fungi and should be treated with probiotics.
Okay, what is the best probiotic? Where do I find it and how much can I take?
At this point I am willing to snort yogurt to feel better.

Linda you might need to have your house checked for molds...nothing will help if you have molds in your house. They will just keep infecting you!! I see you are in Maryland, if you are near the coast then there is lots of moisture which could cause the molds to grow. My DD has terrible sinus infections all the time. They told her she has a deviated septum in her nose and they want to do surgery on her for that. She has to go for a sleep apnea study before they will do the surgery. Are you going to a regular DR for this? If so they aren't helping you go see a ENT (ear nose throat) specialist. Good luck. crafty_linda_b

Well, I wouldn't suggest snorting yogurt! I'm not a doc so I have no idea what to suggest (aside from the no yogurt thing)

good luck hope you get rid the the infections!

Thank you, crafty linda. I was seeing the ENT doc who did my surgery. He likes to throw antibiotics at it. Our house is only 5 years old but I did have it checked. Must be in my DNA tonhave sinus problems.
And, here I've been thinking all these years that DNA stood or DEFINITELY NOT ANOREXIA!

Not sure what you can get over there, but here I go to either a health food shop or the chemist/pharmacy. I get capsules called Inner Health which are kept in the fridge.

Hope you find something to help you

Have they done allergy tests on you? I could be something you are eating? Try 'ocean' its a saline nasal spray you can buy it over the counter, no RX needed for it. That might help you too. Good luck no fun to be miserable. I know when my DD has problems she is out of commision and can't work or function...crafty_linda_b

My son and hubby had the same problems. It wasn't until we had them tested for allergies. We found out they are allergic to pine and pine needles. They had to go for shots but all seems alot better. We moved from Va to Mn and never knew until we were here. The doc says it is very common. So hope this helps keep trying.

Hahaha! That is so funny! I'm afflicted with DNA, too! Sorry to hear about your sinus problem; it is just so hard to lick. Hope your ENT can find the cause and help you.
