Default Needed a break

After piecing several Fancy Forest blocks, I needed a break from quilting. Our DGD celebrated her 1st birthday last week and I made her several gifts: a re-vamped sweatshirt, and 4 sleeved bibs with matching washcloths. I also made a tuffet, using Tuffet Source's pattern, for our daughter's future in-laws, who are hosting us one night on our trek across NC. My 92 yr. old Mom is in the medical center of her facility, recovering from a broken ankle. Luckily we aren't traveling any further east than Raleigh.

The inside of the skirt is the same red with white polka-dots. I got her a red headband with a black, red and white ribbon clip, and black leggings to match.

The bibs are an older pattern from Sew Baby and were embroidered on my Babylock Ellure Plus.

My DD's future in-laws and fiance are ardent DUKE fans. If they don't like it, I'm sure one of their two cats will claim it as his own! I did Scotchguard it LOL

Nice useful gifts I know what you mean by needing a break from quilting occasionally; we have all been there at least once

Pease post a picture of your grand daughter after gifting. That dress is so sweet! Great job on tuffet!

Super job. They are all very well done. Did you take a class for the tuffet? I'd like to do one but not sure if I am good enough to try it on my own not taking a class

Beautiful projects. I like the idea of the bibs with sleeves.
