New Grandson!

Our third grandson was born on September 2. His name is Bennett James. He weighed 7#12oz. And was 20 1/2 inches long. He is so adorable and I have to wait a whole month before I get to hold him and kiss his little chubby cheeks. We Skyped the other night so I got to watch him for a little while. That trip to Texas is going to feel so long and we only get to stay for a week, but it's better than nothing. This is our only son's first child and he was so proud! He's going to be a great dad!

Congratulations - so happy for you! I just became an "associate Grandma" (my boyfriends daughter and her husband just had their first baby) so I can understand your excitement. The distance would be tough though - you'll get lots of use with Skype-ing........Enjoy!

Congratulations!!! Glad you get to go see your new grandson. That skype is a wonderful invention for those that can't be close to their families. Not the same as being there in person, but allows you to communicate and watch them grow.
