Default New ISP scam.

My sister sent me this.
New Scam: Recorded message that a security breach has been recorded on your internet account and you should stay on the line for their technician to help you out with this.

Hang up.

For peace of mind, you may wish to contact your ISP using their service number. Otherwise, disregard. (Especially when they refer to "your AT&T internet account" and AT&T is not your Internet Service Provider.)

I had a message left on answering machine yesterday saying my license is expiring, left a number to call.
I have gotten this message before and I don't do anything, as I know licenses on computers do not expire.

Just when I have all the old ones figured out, they come up with new ones. Thanks for the heads up.

Mr stitchnripper got a voice mail on his cell from a computer generated voice - it was the IRS scam. Surprised about the voice.

Yes, I got that one, too. Computer generated voice and all. It made me wonder how stupid these scammers think we are?

Also got the license is expiring scam call a few months ago. Hung up and went about my business.

I have been scammed twice by a collection agency saying I owe Dish Network $1240,another collection agency tried last year saying I owed them $700. The last one(this last March) was sent to my Credit Karma for collections, of which I denied. I have never had Dish and have been strictly antenna for 10 years now.It is a hassle to file a fraud claim identy theft. It dropped my credit 170 points til it got settled! Not once did I receive a bill ,phone call or statement ,it was always through emails. When are these crooks going to stop? and I'm getting the calls now about my computer being compromised, they call about the same time every day and under a different number each time. I know better and don't even answer.
