Default New writer for me

Since I just had rotator cuff surgery I have been doing a lot of reading. An author I found is
Harlen Coben "Deal breaker" and "Hold Tight" are the 2 I have read. They have people that are tied to each in strange ways sort of like in Pulp Fiction. like the 1st chapter tells about a lawyer and his problems. The next chapter jumps to another person and later you will find out it is the lawyer's secretary's boyfriend. Almost need a scorecard but is a change from the usual.

I've read several of his books & I really like him. They grab you right from the start- never drag.

Nothing ordinary or predictable about his books. I love them!

I love Harlan Coben's books. I grew up in northern NJ and when I read his books, I KNOW where he is writing about.

Some of you who grew up in the 30s to 50s and like to read might give Fannie Flagg a read or two. I am reading her "Standing in the Rainbow" right now and have woke my husband up a couple of times laughing out loud (I read at night when I can't sleep and don't want to get up and sew) and I do mean laughing out loud at some of the things the kids and grown-ups get into. Her descriptions are totally on the mark and I am right there in the middle with her characters......

Harlen Coben's Myron Bolitar series was excellent for a long time. The later ones get a bit weird, but I still read them. He also has several stand alone books that are worth your time. And if you have any junior high age kids (especially boys) he has a series for them, also.
