I think you look great. I know how hard it is to lose weight--I really admire you. I lost twenty-five pounds last year and will lose the other half this year. It is hard to stay on track, but I'm going to do it! People are just thoughtless. How hard is it to make someone's day by giving a sincere compliment! Don't worry about the lack of response. Not everyone is as forward or direct as I am.
What would you think if I walked up to you and said: I really like what you have done with your hair! And, the weight loss is looking good, too! ???
The alternative to that is: before I colored and cut my hair and lost all that weight - - what did that woman think of me????
Wondering what others are thinking is really a losing proposition.
I think you have a right to be proud of your weight loss and your new hairdo is very stylish and makes you look younger and happier, a bit more energetic and lively.
And, you don't have to apologize because you are proud of yourself - - nor do you have to quit being proud of your success just because someone hasn't commented on it.
