The new pressure cookers are not dangerous; the valves take care of built-up pressure should you have any. Just stay in the kitchen with it and pay attention to the cooker. You'll be fine.

I love my pressure canner. I did 12 pts of tomato salsa, only had to buy the onions; we grew everything else. 15 pts of carrots.
