There has been a warning sent out by our local county police that should concern all of us.

Seems there is a team of men who have been knocking on doors, pretending to deliver flowers, when the door is opened, they break in, assault the woman and rob the house.

Their suggestions are not to open the door, ask them from what florist they are delivering, call the florist and confirm delivery before opening door.

It seems that when challenged, they run.

Contact your local police if this happens to you.

This has been happening in all of the north counties of NJ.

Good heavens. Now another thing to cause us to be on our guard. Thanks for the warning. Will pass it along to others.

If I don't know the person on the other side I won't open the door. It is not safe anymore.

Something similar was going on here in Central NJ a couple of years ago. Men asking about replacing storm doors after damaging them. Basically, if you're not expecting someone - regarless of reason - take sensible precautions.

Isn't that sad? I don't open the door unless they call ahead and I know who is coming.
