    This is my gift from my DH who makes his "quilts" from wood. I just love them.

    These are absolutely beautiful. He really does a nice job. Is it intarsia?

    I've never heard of intarsia. I'll have to ask him. He called them segmented turnings. They were made from some wood that he got from his father's "stash" when he passed away, some recycled furniture that our DD and SIL were getting rid of and some oak that he had. I know how many hours he spent on these and I will always treasure them.
