Cindy, congrats on the new job. Been there, done that - know how you've been feeling. Time for some sunlight on your face now. Enjoy!

I will use the time to finish some cleaning I have been trying to get done, but I let the depression get i the way. I am also gonna be working on the t-shirt quilts.

I have finally gotten things done that I have but off since I moved into my apartment. Still have tons to be done but one step at a time. I want to get rid of all the boxes and containers I have my sewing room stuff stored in. I am thinking I will use some of the vacuum bags for the storage of all the excess fabric that is in binds I really dont have room for.

Keep up all your hard work.

Cindy, congratulations. With a goal in mind, I'm more organized and use my time wiser.

My house is CLEAN!!! I can walk through the dining room and see the table top. Such a good feeling. We are terrible here about laying things on any flat surface, and then that becomes a pile. So with the appraiser coming last week and the pot luck on Sat, the house got cleaned (even some corners and the fan blades).

There isn't a dementia unit where my Dad is. The manager called DH and said he had had another talk with him, and hope it made sense. Got a call yesterday, Mom fell twice during the night getting out of bed. Thank goodness she has a roommate that heard her and got help. She was having a sleepy day yesterday, maybe it was the pain meds also helping her. Will go out to see her again today or tomorrow. Last Tues. I was "staff" and Thurs, I was her dead sister. DD comes this weekend and wants to go see Mom. I already hurt for her, as last time she was another granddaughter and DD was so hurt.

Stress eating has been horrible. It's mindless and yes like others I have eaten anything that even looked good. So today I'm "clean" so far.

I will be good to myself today - please be good to YOU.

Congratulations on your job Cindy!!! I hope that you will really enjoy it and make some friends among your new co-workers!!!
I am running out to the base to do my monthly grocery shopping trip. My daughter and grand-daughter are coming with me. Usually Naomi stays with her other grandma when we run to the base but her other grand-ma is busy today. We will leave as soon and baby girl wakes up from her nap. Should be interesting! Beth, my daughter, has not really had to shop with her baby yet. I had to take my kids everywhere!! 4 of them!!! It will be good for both of them!
No flour, sugar or white rice is on my shopping list. I mostly need veggies and fruits and cereal for the husband. In between trips to the base I have to buy my fresh veggies and fruits. This is when I get all my paper products and personal products and all kinds of stuff. Usually end up spending around $300 to $400.

Cindy congratulations on the new job. I hope you like it. It will feel good to get back to work. Enjoy your remaining free time. My work has been a little better recently. Not sure what is up. One day last week I made a couple of little comments to the other aide in the room. I don't know if she talked to the teacher or not. She does seem to agree with me on some points I have. We never really get time to talk to each other as we are always with the kids. We are going to the pumpkin patch with the class on Friday. Hopefully the kids will behave. Both of us aides told the teacher we refuse to be responsible for the kid who never leaves the room unless on a harness.
At work tomorrow everyone is bringing food to share for lunch. I forgot about it until a few minutes ago. I didn't grocery shop this week so not sure what I will make yet. I am not running to the store so will have to figure out what to make out of things in the house.
I like the taboo this week. That is what I have been struggling with. Sugar and carbs. Hopefully I will do good. Healthy eating to all.
Irish still praying you don't have the meningitis.

Me, too, meanmom, but I can't let it run my life. My new GGS arrived today. I refused to hold him, but my daughter, his GM, insisted so I was careful not to touch or kiss him - that was hard. Overly cautious - yes, but he was two hours old delivered by C section. She went into labor naturally, thank goodness, but later the baby's heartbeat disappeared with each contraction so they quickly did a section. Ouch! Beautiful little guy with a mop of black curly hair. Little is right - 6 pounds and 6 ounces and 19 " long. I had one lighter than that, but none that short.

I need to grocery shop. It's just not my idea of fun. I was in a Mexican market today. I bought some interesting things. I especially like Mexican vanilla.

I like this week's taboo, though I am surprised to see beets on the list. I knew carrots belonged there.

vanogay. hope your feeling better. beets???? for a while, yrs ago, WW considered them a starchy veg, then changed their plann so they were 'free'. or less sugary. i eat them as a free veg. and seem to do okay with them. but usually l.5 cups at a time. anyone know where WW lists them now? on the pt system?
irish, think i heard your menegt wasn't contag. so hold away......
it's finally raining in michigan. no rain to speak of all summer, and now fall is here, we are getting a nice amount each week. happy wt loss week to you all.
a long lost wayward grown step grdson showed up last nite. after he left i had 2 pieces of toast and jelly. but i guess that will be my treat for the week.

sewNso, Pam H on page 9. I know fungal meningitis has been deemed non contagious, but why take a chance with an infant. I did hold him for a long time. Just didn't handle his skin or kiss him. He has my long fingers - very quiet little quy- so precious. Things keep changing on the tainted injections. Now they've extended the incubation time, but I feel I am out of the woods.

How nice that were able to gift the GS with a quilt. He will know someone cares and that's what they need, wayward or not.

Wonderful sunny day. I'm going to take the dogs to the lake right now. Catch you later.

I decided to make soup of some sort out of what is here in the house. I figured I could concoct something out of what is here. While I was running ingredients thru my mind to make it my DH walked in the door with a huge bag of fresh spinach from the garden. So I made a big spinach salad to take to work. I still need to grocery shop desperately. I spoke too soon about school being a little better. NOT a good day. Oh well not sure there is anything I can do about it but keep looking for something else.
We are eating the last of the goodies from the garden. The weather here is really warm today about 70. Kinda warm for this time of year here. We are having roasted green beans, zucchini , corn and chicken for dinner. Yum.I didn't know red beets were a sugary vegetable. I don't really like them anyway. I did have some raw in a salad and was surprised I liked them.
Lots of weight loss and healthy eating to all.
