My husband keeps threatening me with a new car.

I have my choice of a 2001 Dodge Challenger or a 2011 Dodge Ram Pick-up.

I have a few months to decide to take him up on his threat.
My truck will be paid off next April.

Sounds like the Civic served you well, but I completely understand having to make payments again.

Good luck with the new car! I, too, hate car payments!

Hint for your next new car - when this one is paid off, keep making the payments, but make them to your savings account. When it comes time to buy the next one, you can pay cash. Or if you have an emergency, you have a stash of money to cover it.

You got to buy an orange car! I am so jealous, my husband would never let us drive a fun color like that! Need to make a quilt now to match it, you know when you are snoozing on long trips you need a matching quilt to snuggle under.

Ditto! I don't believe in paying interest on vehicles or credit cards. I guess it's the generation I grew up in.

Thank you everyone! I am excited because it will be much more comfortable for the long drive to work.
We did put away the civic payments when it was done but ran in to some things that had to be done in the house soooo. I work for a Credit Union so the payment will pay my salary lol (I guess there is an upside to that payment it will help keep me employed :D )
May I will send you a PM-I have a lot of ideas for you for the orange as I have one quilt done in Orange, black & yellow and I am working on what I call My Creamsicle quilt which is all oranges.
Thank you all again. I will post pictures soon!
    Hugs
    April
PS Nanamom I have been mostly posting in the swaps I host. Hubby had surgery and my numbness nor the IH issues are getting much better so I do not spend as much time on the board :(
