My son just came in, tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he hurt the back of his head "really bad". I gave him a hug and kiss, checked for blood and lumps, then asked what he bumped it on.
TM "I don't know"
Me "Well, was it the picnic table? The bench? The porch? What did you bump it on?"
TM "I don't know"
Me "How do you not know what you bumped your head on?"
TM "I was walking backwards"

hope thats the worse he ever hurts himself. When I was young, my oldest (of 3 younger) brothers talked the middle brother into believing he could fly off the roof of the back porch if he tied on a "magic cape" (towel!!). He jumped out far enough to land on an uphill slope behind the porch!

another time the same "cape" brother was jumping on a couch and mom caught him he fell when she yelled and then pretended he'd broken his arm (all the way to the emergency room!) and when he was fine mom gave it to him twice over! lol sharet

Unfortunately, no, it's not the worst he will do. His mouth is still healing from the split lip he had last week. He tried to run up the porch steps, missed, and caught himself with his mouth. Thankfully the teeth didn't come through the front, just split it wide open inside. He came running in with blood dripping down his arm, and it bled for about an hour. The bruise above his lip is still visible a week+ later.

Too funny! My son was a little daredevil and now he's finding out what it's like. His son is fearless. I was talking to him on the phone one day and he turned aside to tell his son that he couldn't climb on the refrigerator because it was dangerous. I heard DGS say "I am danger, Dad." Ha ha ha ha.
