I posted a vent on this area "General Chit-Chat (non-quilting talk)".......It was moved to my personal diary. WHY? Others vent in this area. It goes to the diary and NO ONE sees it.....NO ONE answers once it's there. Now I'm venting about the inconsistancie on this board......my frustration level is so that I just may dump this website, too.

Yes, if you go back to the main page where the lists of different forums (within this forum) you'll see diaries. I never go there.....

I didn't realize that either.

Take a day or two off and you'll start missing us. I'm sorry that you feel frustrated but I think it's probably happened to each of us at one time or another.

Each of us is a member of this family, this wonderful quilting family. But just like in real blood-tied families we aren't always going to agree and sometimes we're going to hurt each other's feelings whether we mean to or not.
We're also going to get mad at our parents (admin and the moderators) but we're still a family.
If you look at it that way it makes the things that aggravate easier to ignore. Or at least it does for me.

p.s. If it's the one about your back pain, you're in my prayers. Back pain can be awfully hard to treat or even to figure out the cause of it. I read it and prayed for you, just didn't post a comment. That was probably thoughtless of me.

I agree that there seem to be inconsistencies.

The PDA section was started to accommodate vents, sad news, and on-going sagas. I think that was because some other readers did not care to read the "downers" and had complained.

It sometimes appears that some people have not read the guidelines for general chit-chat (GCC) and the personal diaries and announcements (PDA) sections before posting something.

No - once the posting about my back went to the diary (their doing, not mine) I didn't get any more comments. That's okay, the back is still a problem (and probably why I'm short-tempered today) and I'm seeing a specialist -- in OCTOBER! This vent today was about my mother.

I'm just wondering why these people that don't want to read these things click on them anyway? I certainly don't read every post. I'd never get any sewing done!!

that's how I feel. I talked with another poster one day and she told me about something I'd missed. Turned out it's in the PD area....I don't mind if they keep a running commetary about personal business. If I know it's there, I ignore it if I don't want to see it. As it is, if I go to a PD area, and don't recognize the name, I don't read them. To go to the last page, and having to go backwards to figure out what the topic is for each person is a pain in the neck...I won't do it!

Occasionally people have ambiguous titles on their posts, and one doesn't know what it's about until one has opened the thing.
