Since my flag is on a short pole on my house, I take a black ribbon and tie it right in the middle so it kind of drapes down, that lets people know what I am doing....

Thanks for the reminder. I don't have a flag to put out but do have a small flag quilt I made after 9/11 and I'll be displaying it in my front window. May in Jersey
