Talking Pike's Peak, Iowa

I took this picture Sunday at Pike's Peak, Iowa. The fall colors are so pretty. I just thought I would share it with all of you. This is overlooking the Mississippi River.

Beautiful! The scenery is so different from the way we see it down here.

This eastern Wisconsinite was in the same area on the same day -

Pike's Peak Park is awesome in the summer months - I've never seen so many hummingbirds in one area at one time!

The view of the Mississippi River (running left to right) shows how low the river is this year. The sandbars are very disconcerting.

The Wisconsin River is running from top/center and joins the Mississippi.

The wooded ridge running center and to the right is Wyalusing State Park.

Awesome overlook - I get shaky legs every time I go up there.
