Default Oscars: Does anyone else see a quilt in the backdrop?

I see a nice quilt in the "Dresden Plate" background. It would have to be more modern or spikey than the regular pattern, but with the right fabric .... Just saying

I thought the same thing, kind of like a quilt. Kind of like a spectacular quilt.

I didn't watch it. Not like the old days. I was actually backstage at the Oscars right behind the stage manager when the streaker ran across the stage with Davin Niven hosting. Heard they didn't include Joan Rivers in the entertainers that have passed during this past year. What a terrible oversight.

Maniac, now that you mention it, you're right! I don't think Joan Rivers was mentioned in the list honoring those who have passed. Bad oversight!

I could be wrong, but I'm not aware of Joan Rivers being involved in the movie industry, only TV and stand up comedy. The TV industry honors their own on their awards show.

She was left off the list of entertainers that were lost in 2014 BUT the "powers that be" said it was because of time constraints. When is an entertainer not an entertainer - be it movies, stage or whatever ???

Joan Rivers has made appearances and/or voiceovers in movies and has written and directed at least one.
