Do your cats pant like a dog? This kitten rips around every day like he is on fire and then pants like a dog. DH and I are talking and don't think we have ever seen a cat do that. Is it normal?

Our cat Smoky, who is the size of a small dog, doesn't pant, he can't move too fast, LOL, but Hemingway, who is a few bricks short of a full load, pants after she's been tearing around the house. Strangest thing, isn't it?

Yeah . I have had dogs all my life so these two cats I have now are my first experience. The old man never did this so it is weird to see. I hope he is ok.

Our fat cat Blu pants a bit if she's been playing. She doesn't even have to be playing that hard either, to do it. She's started going outside now with us, so hopefully she'll lose a bit of weight! lol!!

Yup, they pant just like dogs! Mine would do it after a HARD play time. Also, when they were hot and thirsty.

LMAO!
Yes, he's just fine. He's only wanting to play!
My little girl cat will tear thru the house once in a while. Thinks the stairs are her very own racetrack. Especially when I'm trying to go DOWN them. She never gets under my feet when I'm going up. Guess it's because kitchen is downstairs lol

That little guy is too cute to do any evil. He just wants to show you what he can do and to have some fun. Try and find some toys you can play with him with by sitting on the couch/chair. Stick with heavy string and toy attached works good. He just wants to play and he's full of energy, just like any toddler.

He has an affinity to pine cones. I moved the couches today and found at least 20 pine cones under there along with a few wet food dishes that he cleaned and batted around.

Our cats favorite toys were the little zip ring you'd take off the gallon milk jugs. You know that little piece that you would tear off before you opened it? Yup, would find TONS of them under the stove and frige when we were getting ready for moves. lol
