I am thinking about opening a paypal account. Are the fees very high? I bought a 1948 singer feather weight and went thru a friend since I didn't have my own account. Also does anyone know how to find the month that my machine was made? I would love to find out since I was born that year.

I hate using paypal because of the fees. Why give them part of your money???

That's kind of nice... getting paid for giving your opinion! And you get "money" that you can spend any way you want, rather than being limited to gift cards to certain shops.

Would you share the name of that site with us? Please?
smagruder might be referring to pineconeresearch.com The only accept applicants during certain times though, you'll have to try to enroll. I get mine deposited into a prepaid credit card, that I can use anywhere.

Go to this site to find out the year/month your FW was born:

It's very much like what stores endure, in order to accept credit card payments. We (merchants) lose on the order of 2.5% - 3.5% in credit card fees on each purchase. Paypal is pretty much the same thing.

the small fee is worth knowing that everything is payed for before you ship it and you don't have to wat days for your money. Also can ship sooner than waiting 7 days for a check to clear.

Bad. Bad.

If the seller decides to rip you off, you have ZERO recourse.

The Paypal fees are minimal and worth the security. Everything sent should have a tracking number. That protects the seller. If you pay via "gift" and don't get your merchandise, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Not only is an invoice far more professional, but if done correctly (not gift), both parties are protected.
