The Pet Postcard Project
#1
It would be hard not to notice how many beautiful dogs and cats are owned by the quilters on this board, and how many people are interested in rescue. My four dachshunds are all rescues, and I would never want for better pets. Three of them also do service dog work for us. Taffy considers us as her personal service people, lol.
I would like to invite all of you to check out this great website, The Pet Postcard Project, at http://betterwords.typepad.com/petpostcardproject/. Each one of the postcards sent into the website helps provide food for shelters, donated by a variety of companies. You can read the details, and learn about the founder, Nikki Moustaki, whose life is dedicated to animals on the site.
Making the postcards is a lot of fun, too, and would be a great way to use up some of those tiny scraps of fabrics, ribbons, buttons, etc...and I know all of you have the imagination. Have fun looking and enjoying the cute dogs and cats.
