Who cares about one-thousandth of an inch!! Quilting is supposed to be fun, not requiring a math geek. If all the seams are the same, the quilt will look fine.

Just trying to say that 22/7 (3-1/7) is a close enough approximation to whatever the 'actual' value of pi is for most of my purposes.

Math was not my strong suite. I know how to use the 60 degrees on my quilting ruler to get a diamond, but don't ask me to explain it mathimatically.
