The snow has arrived in Iowa...can't remember snowfall on Christmas eve Day. Picture perfect - like having my own Hallmark Christmas Card right outside my window thumbup:

Christmas blessings, everyone!

I, too, am from eastern Iowa and the snow was beautiful when I got up. Truly a Hallmark moment. Merry Christmas to you and your family

E. central Illinois and it hasn't started here yet. I've got my fingers crossed though. Even though we've got quite a bit of snow already I'm hoping for enough to whiten up the dirty plowed stuff and put a fresh, new glisten on everything. To actually have fresh snow for Christmas is something that hasn't happened for quite awhile here. After Christmas I could care less if it snows but I sure do enjoy it beforehand and during. I just hope it starts before dark so that we can see it coming down.

Here in western NC, ours should start tonight & go through Sunday sometime. They are saying 2-5 inches, but not sure till it gets here. I hope it's just enough to be pretty & not mess up the roads for travelers! It will be our first white xmas in a long time also! Enjoy yours while it lasts & stay safe!...

Ours is suppose to start later today. I just pray it doesn't makes the roads bad. So many people driving to famiy gatherings, don't want anyone hurt! Had good news this morning from yougest son. He gets to have his children from noon today, overnight until mid-morning Christmas day. This was to be the first year that he wouldn't have been with them on Christmas morning and it was breaking his heart and mine. The step dad and their mom are both employed by the helicopter emergency service, she is a nurse , he the pilot, and since he was scheduled to work, she chose to work also. Yippeee!!!! ( Plus, her husband wasn't going to have his kids this year , that is why he was going to work) For whatever the reason,God was good to our family once again. Now it will really be a good Christmas for all of us, and I pray you all have your family with you also. Merry Christmas, Carol
