Default Pictures of Sewing Machines in Classifieds

For a few months I've been browsing Craigslist and other online classifieds for the perfect Featherweight...perfect price, condition, etc.

I just have to smile when I see the only listed picture is of the back of the sewing machine. Obviously, a non-sewer took the picture.

Not a criticism, just an observation. I relate it to me taking a picture of the engine of a car or a car part...I would have no idea which way was up. LOL

This is so true!! Maybe it's because the back is smooth and shiny??

I have seen so many ads where they are turned to the back and I thought the same thing "must not know how to sew"....we want to see the front and needle part!!!! Up close preferably so we can see the wear and tear in that area.....

How about the ads that don't even post a picture? or a stock image from Google? These drive me crazy! They take the time to write the ad and post it but they can't put a picture up? Or they will send you pictures upon request. If they have pictures of their machine, why wouldn't they put them in the ad????

Seems nuts to me why they wouldn't put a picture of the machine with the ad. How many possible sales have they lost? Not very smart. Just me.

We have a whole bunch of stuff like that right here - start at the last and work forward - most of them disappear in a few days or weeks... some stay around forever...
anyway here is a link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...g-t174801.html if you do start in the front you can at least read all the snarky remarks about the CL ads.

I don't know how to post pictures. I'm going to list my horse for sale today and all I can do is send pictures. If I lose a sale ....I lose a sale. Someone will be missing out on a nice horse.

@ Wintersewer, LOL, that was my exact first thought! Having pictures and the ability to post them are two different animals. I am very fortunate to have grandchildren who come to my rescue!!

My favorite was a "sh*tgun, that occasionally misfires." That conjured up visuals that I didn't even want to think about. What should have been an "o" was replaced with an "i". Don't think I've ever seen one of those bad boys!
