I live just north of Dubuque and have been there many times. Your picture is beautiful. Have you ever taken any pictures at Balltown? Great view there. You can see the fog on the Mississippi there.

Well, this is news to me. I didn't know there was a Pike's Peak in Iowa, and I live in Iowa! I'm going to have to check it out!

That's a great picture, thank you. Is it taken from Pike's Peak or is that the Peak opposite? I would never imagine this landscape.

Yes, we drove thru Balltown the same day. The view there is just as pretty as Pike's Peak. The fall colors are amazingthis year.

Lovely shot, yes one of the prettiest places in Iowa. Mom3 yes, I agree is looks like the River is lower than usual.

ever get to see this either. Any info on where Pike's Peak got it's name? Always wondered.
Saw Pike's peak off in the distance when we went by train from East coast to California
----ages ago!! Super Chief and the Santa Fe. Memories!!
