Default Pincushion chair

Last October a member posted a picture of a pincushion chair that I thought was so cute. So I bought the book, Scrap Savers Christmas Stitchery by Sandra Lounsbury Foose. I bought the book for $1.00 plus shipping from Amazon. The book had a bookmark in it at the page for the pincushion chair so someone must have made the chair also. It was fun to make, but a lot of hand stitching which I don't usually do. I really like quilting because I can do it all with out doing any hand sewing.

I think I still have the card board patter my Mother had for making this chair pin cushion over 50 years ago.
I doubt it was printed in a book at that time, perhaps it was a newspaper pattern, as they often were, and passed among friends. I have thought about making one but I have so many other projects I kept putting off looking for the pattern. I think it was mentioned here some months ago. I must go look.

Precious! I have always admired these in JoAnn's. Maybe I will try it soon.
