We have booked our flight to Halifix for September 10 and I was wondering if my great quilting friends could help me plan our site seeing. We have 12 great days to tour the Maritimes I have already found 2 quilt shows one in Annaplis and one in St. John NB. I would love to hear from anyone in the Maritimes who could suggest places to visit and sites to see

Be sure to include sometime to see the Bay of Fundy..on our first trip I did not know about the massive tide changes so we had to take a second trip from California so that I could witness the tide changes...Very impressive.

Wasn't a quilter when I went to visit but saw some wonderful sights. It truly is a charming place to explore.

If you go to the USER LIST and type in the Province, there are quite a few members back there, and although not all post at the moment, they might receive an e-mail if you PM them.

Just home from work and no further postings so will look through my notes from our 2007 trip. Okay....I wrote a little journal....but are you going to all of the maritimes including Nfld? Anything in particular you are interested in? If you want to, please PM me & I'll give you a little run down of what we did in 2007.

Take at least one day and visit Prince Edward island....A few quilt shops, but the ocean is so blue and the sand is so red, it overwhelms the senses. Cavendish (Anne of Green Gables) has the most beautiful beaches....whatever you do, enjoy!!!!

Here's a guild site that might have some info for you.

Here's a link to another board discussion, if you search for Maritimes this one came up.
