The plastic containers that fresh fruit comes in. Do any of you know of a good reason for me to keep them, or should I put them in the recicle container?

I remember using the green basket type the Kindergarten class I taught. We put a twig in the bottom one, a fake bird on the twig and laced both pieces together and the kids all had a pet bird.

The ones I get have slits in the bottom. I doubt dirt would stay in there. I throw them out, I have enough 'stuff'.

I use them to store 2 1/2-inch squares. I'm saving them up for a scrappy double or triple irish chain. I eat a box or two strawberries every week. I have more than I need so they go into my recycle bin.

I am pi**ed, our recycle no longer accepts #1 plastics, just #2milk jugs ones. That means millions of water bottles too are now going into the land fill.
