Hi all - just a reminder, once again postage rates are going up on 1/2/2011. A first class one ounce letter will be $.46 instead of $.44 and subsequent ounces will be higher as well.,

Media mail is also going up, as is ParcelPost. I believe Priority prices will be unchanged. International mail will see increases as well.

Get your forever stamps now if you can!

This is the first I've heard of it. Good thing I'm checking out the QB - you never know what you will learn here!

I thought they had denied them the price increase earlier this fall. I have not heard of it going up. I buy forever anyway so will not hurt me for quite awhile.

I thought the PO could only raise rates once a year... ?? Didn't they just raise it last May??? Seems like they are always raising rates. Then they wonder why people are going to paying their bills on line and using email instead of the USPS. geeeez. thanks for the reminder.

Request for first class rate increase was denied. First class remains at $0.44. There are rate increases for shipping classes: Priority Mail, Express Mail, etc. Go to http://www.usps.com/welcome.htm for more info.

Just read on their site that they were turned down earlier this year but Jan 2 going up two cents. I will go get more forever stamps and still pay the 44. I have nine now and will get five or six more. I really like the pinecone ones and used them for Christmas cards this year.

I asked at the Post Office if postage was going to be the same next Christmas. The clerk said that it was going to be because they were denied the price increase. I hope she was telling the truth.

I got an email from Ebay stating that rates are going up but I thought it was in March. I checked on the USPS website but didn't read the whole thing but rates are increasing. I'll find out the details soon enough.......
